Hawkeye is a dark green iceberg lettuce variety. It possesses an
extremely large frame and head size at harvest. This variety is
recommended for early spring plantings in the Salinas Valley and Desert
regions. It has an impressive large core diameter and smooth butt
appearance. Hawkeye has a cylinder head shape with excellent internal
texture for processor or fresh market pack. This variety can be
compared to Sharpshooter, Green Lightning, and Jupiter, in their
prospective planting slots.
