The new variety Early Bird is an iceberg lettuce type, adapted for mid
Spring in the Salinas Valley plantings. Early Bird possesses excellent
corky-root resistance and has a strong tolerance to big vein virus.
Early Bird has a big frame and head size with excellent cap leaf
coverage. Early Bird has a smooth butt appearance with a medium core
diameter, with maturity about one week earlier than any competitive
commercial line. |
